Thrive Protein was founded by myself, Gillian House, and my partner Joe Clark. We first met in the fitness industry through our employment at a local gym in our hometown of Collingwood Ontario, and realized each other’s passion for health, fitness, wellness and nutrition early on. We have always had an incredible working relationship, and our strengths compliment each other’s weaknesses, making for an unstoppable team when it comes to a strong business and foundation. We have an 18 month old daughter named Grace, and live together in Collingwood.

Joe’s background in fitness has expanded since his initial management position at the gym. He already had a passion for fitness throughout his life, whether it be running or lifting. He is now a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, PN level one nutrition coach, and has almost completed his bachelor’s degree in Sports Science out of MMU in the UK.

My background is much more hands on, which stems from a life of competitive sport. I have my personal training certification, however I also have years of experience in the competitive sport industry, primarily track and cross-country running. There are many components to being a competitive athlete, and I can give an insider’s view to the dedication, mindset, and nature of training at a high level.

We first decided to start Thrive Protein when we were frustrated with the lack of high quality fitness supplements in Canada. I personally struggled to find a plant-based protein powder that had the macronutrient profile I was searching for, no fillers or preservatives, no added sugar, clean ingredients, and still tasted great! I knew I wasn’t the only one out there who couldn’t find the right product. With both of our complimentary skills, Joe and I knew we could take our vision for the best and highest quality supplements, and create Thrive Protein, which is also affordable, and represents what we are all about- health, fitness, and community.
